The Falcon Band is based at Clear Lake High School in Clear Lake, Houston, Texas, in the Clear Creek Independent School District. This site is designed to inform you about the Falcon Band Program including Color Guard and Winter Guard and Booster Club Activities.

| Clear Lake Summerfest & Chili Cook-off |
 1st Annual CLEAR LAKE SUMMERFEST & CHILI COOK-OFF Sponsored by The Clear Lake Falcon Band and Band Boosters Saturday, August 14, 2010 Clear Lake High School
Chili Cook-off Teams - Open to any group. If you or your company or someone you know has a cook off team and would like to participate, please have them contact us.
Live Bands – If you or someone you know has a band and would like to perform, here is your opportunity.
Carnival Games, Moonwalks, Snow Cones, Cotton Candy, Concession Foods
This is a community fundraiser to be used specifically this year to paint the Band’s Semi Trailer. Please invite your friends, family, neighbors, etc out for a great day of fun.

| The Clear Lake Falcon Band Trailer |
 UPDATE: The trailer is now at the school behind the 9th grade center. Stay tuned to the mailing list for info on how you can help with the transformation.
This summer, parents and students will join together soon and transform this retired moving van trailer into the symbol of the Falcon Band for years to come. Because this transformation requires a significant investment of time and money, we really need everyone of us to contribute through our normal purchases: Amazon.com On the website, you would have noticed a new Amazon Associates link on the top right of the page. The band gets a percentage of each purchase! Kroger "Paint the Truck" Cash Cards This is a fantastic new program we are beginning immediately. The band gets 5% of Kroger shoppers' normal grocery purchases. Here's how: 1. We sell you a Kroger cash card for $1. (It has $1 on it) 2. You take it to the Kroger Service Desk and put $100 (or any amount) on the card. 3. Remember to do all of your shopping with the card. 4. Refill it throughout the year at the service desk. Band families typically spend $400 a month on groceries. If only 25 families use this card throughout the year, the band will get $6,000! That's how much it costs to paint the trailer falcon blue! If you are a Kroger shopper and want to support your child's band, please email me at john.gouveia@att.net and I'll start the process. Let's have a great summer! | Band Physicals |
Each student who participates in band is required to complete an information and health form and have a doctor administer a physical. These are required to be on file with the office prior to summer band camp beginning. We have already missed the CLHS physical date.
The form is available from this web site.
Clear Creek High School will offer the UIL participation physical on Thursday, May 27. They will be held in the Butler Gym from 1:30 - 5:00pm. The cost is $25. Please leave the "make payable to" blank until arriving at the facility.
Space Center Intermediate will offer the UIL participation physical on Wednesday, June 2 from 3:15 to 5:30pm in the boys' and girls' locker rooms. Checks should be made payable to Dr. Kirkwood in the amount of $25.00.
You may also elect to go to your personal physician.
In addition, if your child requires a physical for any other activity (sports for example), only one physical needs to be obtained and copies are made for groups concerned. |

You can now order the 2008-2009 CLHS Band DVD!
Orders for this DVD started selling at Equipment Night, but if you didn't get to go to Equipment Night, you can order it now! The DVD includes the band video that Benjamin Cohen made, as well as a couple extra small videos from band!

Attached is the calendar for 2009-2010. It includes performance dates, rehearsal dates and times, and lots of other information you'll need for next school year. Please print this calendar for your records. In the event some dates change, we will send out a revised calendar periodically as needed.
